Rio Women in the Outdoors

June 29-30th, 2009
This is a 2 day conference up Spanish Fork Canyon. You are able to take classes & enjoy the outdoors. Some of the classes we took are: handguns, dutch oven cooking, self defense, horseback riding, wilderness survival and trapping. This is my second year attending.

Rachelle, Sherie (my mother-in-law) & Rhonda (married to Seth's Uncle Nate)

Me & Buck (The Horse)
His name is very fitting. They told me before I got into the saddle he was an old horse and I shouldn't have any problems. Buck had other plans. He didn't want to cross the bridge that lead over to the trail, eventually he did see it my way. He also kept trying to bite another horse in front of us. So the other horse kicked my horse which led to my horse to buck. I stayed on though, but explains his name.

I really enjoyed the ride and wish it could of been longer.
There are some pictures from our Self Defense class. We learned to be aware of our surroundings, guns are great protection against a attack and some great techniques if we are ever in that dreaded situation.
Smack-down Sherie
Just checking if he could handle her power... Watch while she brings it on!

Check out Rock-em Sock-em Rhonda
I wouldn't mess with her. Watch out Nate!
She is ready! Bring it on!
A dinner we didn't have to prepare or clean up. NICE!
