Our 2009 Christmas Card

From The Sorensen Family

You know what I hate at Christmas time, it’s those family letters from people I hardly know or don’t really even care about, telling us how great and wonderful they and their perfect children are. Well, we are even more awesome than all those people!

As you can see from our incredible family picture, we are a very good-looking family. Aside from that, we had a pretty great year. Seth won the lottery and after taxes walked away only owing the government $1.98 after all was said and done. Rachelle won the Boston marathon, and then realized it didn’t start until the next week. Alexis found a huge diamond but since the black kind burn better than they polish we just used it to keep the fire going. Adriana found a complete Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil but getting all of those wooden pieces to fit together and not fall apart was a challenge. Ariyah ended up ending up.

On a not so exciting note, we did finish off our basement this year and the twins moved down to their new room. They love it (not as much as we do though. Yahoooooooo!). It gave us 2 more bedrooms a bathroom and a storage room.

Rachelle started running this year. I know what you are thinking, and it was not to get away from my lame hunting stories. She competed in the Art City Days 5k, Mona Lavender Days 5k, Onion Days 5k, and Fiesta Days 10k. She is getting pretty fast.

Alexis and Adriana turned 8 years old and were baptized this year. They are growing up so fast. I know this because they keep reminding us just how old we are getting.

Ariyah turned 2 this year. It was great. We are always looking for any excuse to celebrate something. Her favorite song for the past few months is “Happy Birthday Josiah”. She even sang it to herself.

I am not nearly as exciting as the rest of the group. Just about all I did this year was amass a large collection of “rocks”. I like to call them fossils but Rachelle is not so sure.

We want to wish you all the happiest of holidays and hope your lives will come close to being as incredibly exciting and totally awesome as ours. Remember as you finish up this letter and contemplate your lives, of all of the people we have ever met, you are definitely one of them.

Love,

Seth, Rachelle, Alexis, Adriana & Ariyah
